In an effort to raise extra funds to support our students and staff, SMS will host an Ultimate Mustang Warrior Day this fall. The event will include obstacle courses and other activities, and will take place during the school day on our new turf football field.
Each grade level will have about 30 minutes on the track/field to complete the events. Participants and spectators in other grades will have the opportunity to watch and cheer from the bleachers and to purchase items from the concession stand until their turn on the field. Students will be supervised at all times. This year the PTO has partnered with the Get Movin Crew to increase participation through online donations. Simply Register or Login at www.thegetmovincrew.com. Once logged in, parents and students can share their individual pages via Facebook or other social media with just a few clicks. They can also use the email button to send requests to close friends and family. This kind of online student fundraising helps schools raise up to three times more than traditional fundraising, and the Get Movin Crew only charges 15% of online donations as their fee.
